Meunier, Mel

Mel Meunier is an experienced dispute resolution practitioner with a professional background spanning mediation, conciliation, regulatory dispute resolution, immigration law and professional education.

She currently works in statutory conciliation and as an AMDRAS mediator trainer, assessor and mentor, supporting practitioners to develop their skills and maintain high standards of professional practice.

Mel also brings 17 years of experience working extensively in immigration law, advising and representing individuals and families navigating complex immigration and administrative processes. This work has given her considerable experience supporting people through challenging circumstances, difficult decisions and significant life transitions.

She has a particular interest in elder mediation, especially helping older people and their families navigate difficult conversations around care arrangements, family relationships, decision-making and changing support needs. Her approach emphasises dignity, self-determination and ensuring older people’s voices remain central to decisions affecting their lives.
