Humphreys, Jayne

Jayne is a lawyer with over 20 years legal practice, primarily in the area of Wills & Estates, Elder Law and Estate administration. Jayne has been a full member of the Society of Estate Practitioners (STEP) since 2014 and is admitted as a solicitor in NSW and in the UK.

Jayne is a NMAS Accredited Mediator and member of Resolution Institute since 2022.

Jayne has completed Collaborative Practice Training (Core Skills and Advanced) in the area of Wills & Estates and sits on the board of Collaborative Professionals (NSW), representing collaborative professionals in the area of wills & estates and elder law.
Jayne’s practice is focussed on:

  1. Facilitated family inclusive estate planning to mitigate the risk of estate disputes;
  2. Assisting clients and family members to resolve disputes around care arrangements for their loved ones;
  3. Advising and assisting clients with smooth and efficient estate administration; and
  4. Alternative dispute resolution arising from estate claims.

Jayne’s work brings her into close contact with families who may anticipate dispute and are wanting to avoid it, and families already in conflict needing support to navigate potential claims.  Jayne is regularly engaged to support families going through NCAT Guardianship Division proceedings and is often asked to facilitate and document family agreements around care arrangements.
