Tait, Fiona

Fiona is accredited as an EMIN Elder Mediator Advanced, NMAS mediator and Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner. Between 2018 and 2023 Fiona worked as an Elder Mediator Resolution Practitioner with Relationships Australia NSW’s ‘Let’s Talk’ Elder Mediation and Support Service. She also worked as a caseworker with Relationships Australia NSW’s Reconnect Wellbeing program in 2021 supporting older adults living in the community and as an FDRP for RANSW, more recently as part of the Access Family Mediation Service providing mediation to separating families online. Fiona continues to work as a casual employee with RANSW as an Elder Mediator and FDRP.

Prior to mediation, Fiona’s background was in research focussing on vulnerable groups. She has worked on various research projects for the Health and Aging Research Unit and UTS Faculty of Nursing regarding dementia and dementia care, medication provision, nursing retention and person-centred care in residential aged care settings. Fiona’s has a degree in Applied Psychology and Counselling and her post graduate research Masters in Criminology through the USYD Law school focussed on the experiences of primary and family victims of crime in NSW sentencing proceedings.
